about

Although it's most likely obvious by the title, I started producing this track when I was working in Marion, Indiana. It might not be evident upon listening, but I really enjoyed it there, mostly because it was different from what I'm use to. The campus I was living at for a week had a very calming energy about it.

I found myself wandering around aimlessly late at night, observing the juxtaposition of modern campus buildings to the trailer parks circling our little collegiate city. At times, I'd venture down the narrow gravel streets that ran between these small rundown homes. I would create for myself the residents that lived there based on the items they left in patches of grass outside. Cigarette buts, plastic lawn chairs, withering plants, and broken bottles. There was a sort of numbness to it all.
